The University of Los Andes is a public and autonomous Institution, this means that the academic services, student assistantship, and technical support is free of any payment, or refund. The enrollment process, however, is rigorously regulated by the Test. Depending on the nature of the study program, it would also be required to take other tests.
Let’s take a look at the application process to be an undergraduate student at ULA.
1.
Check the study programs offered
The University of Los Andes through the Office of Student Admission (in Spanish, OFAE) offers diverse study programs in different fields of knowledge.

Verify and select the admission system(s)
ULA offers several admission systems. The application can be run through one or several admission process simultaneously. The applicant must know in detail the dates and the procedure of the admission system selected.

Fee payment
The applicant pays the fee in accordance to the admission system.

4.
Online registration for the Admission Test
The applicant makes the online registration for the test after 2 days of the fee payment. The dates of the tests are published in the following days.

Check date and classroom
The date, time and classroom where the test will be taken is stated in the Online Application. It is important to hand the I.D. and the bank deposit receipt. It is also convenient to be 30 minutes before the scheduled time.

Check the grades
The grades are usually posted after 72 hours of the Eliminatory test. The grades will be available at “Consulta de la Solicitud”. The list of admitted candidates is published at the Central Office of Student Registration (In Spanish, Oficina Central de Registro Estudiantil, O.R.E.)

Enrollment
The admitted applicant must prepare a series of documents to formalize the enrollment process in the University of the Andes. The enrollment process will be carried out by the Central Office of Student Records (OCRE). The admitted applicant must be aware of the dates and requirements for enrollment.
