The Faculty Council is where the best interests of the faculty are represented. It initiates recommendations to the Dean or appropriate administrative officials for submission to the Board of Regents, on matters within the jurisdiction of the Council that are related to educational policy, and the internal and external operation of the Faculty.
The University of Los Andes' Faculty Council consists of an elected body of members responsible for exercising faculty authority within the University of Los Andes system.
The Faculty Council includes:
- The Dean.
- The School’s presidents.
- Professoral staff representatives,
- Association of Students Representative.
- Retired Professoral staff representative.
